'Overwhelming grief': Dr Mosley's wife breaks silence

Dr Clare Bailey wrote on Instagram on July 11 that the family was "trying to put our lives back together without Michael and it is very hard".

Dr Mosley, a well known British TV presenter and healthy living advocate, was found in a rocky area on the Greek island of Symi.

Dr Bailey, a GP and nutritionist, posted the touching message alongside numerous pictures of the couple.

She described grief as a "journey" that could be "overwhelming" but also "light and beautiful".

Dr Bailey thanked the public for the "extraordinary outpouring of grief and gratitude for Michael" and was "moved" by the idea that he changed so many lives.

"We sincerely hope that we can continue to share his positive message going forward," she said. "Because while we are learning to live without Michael, he is ever-present through the lives that he touched and the difference he made."

Mosley first trained as a doctor before moving into the world of media, presenting a host of programs for the BBC and Channel 4 as well as writing a regular column for the Daily Mail and a number of books.

He has appeared on Australian TV on Trust Me, I'm a Doctor and popularised the 5:2 diet that endorses intermittent fasting.
