Enigmatic US film director David Lynch has announced he is releasing a new album with Twin Peaks singer and actor Chrystabell.

Lynch, 78, collaborated on the project with Chrystabell, who played FBI agent Tammy Preston in the 2017 TV series Twin Peaks: The Return.
The film auteur said in a teaser clip for the album: "Ladies and gentlemen. Something is coming along for you to see and hear!"
Lynch's clip came ahead of a video to promote Cellophane Memories, due for release on August 2.
Lynch, who has made videos for acts such as Interpol, directed the Sublime Eternal Love video, which features his trademark spooky flickering images.
The cinema veteran's last major directorial project was the reboot of Twin Peaks in 2017 while his last feature film was 2006's Inland Empire.
