The Super Bowl is the most-watched television event in the United States every year, and is broadcast internationally.
It's not just all about football though as the Super Bowl halftime always calls upon the talents of mega music stars. Past shows have showcased performances by Beyonce, Katy Perry, Madonna, Coldplay, the infamous performance by Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake and many more.
This year, hip hop fans rejoiced with rappers Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar taking to the stage at half time.
The highest rated Super Bowl was in 2015 with approximately 114,000,000 viewers on average. Last year saw the lowest rated Super Bowl since 2006, with 2021 seeing 91,000,000 and 2006 seeing 90,000,000 million viewers.
Despite last year's loss in viewership, NBC - this year's broadcaster - announced that it sold advertising time slots for a record high of $7 million per 30-seconds.
