Police allege the 28-year-old Warrnambool man entered the premises on the corner of Raglan Parade and Jamieson Street on Thursday morning just after midnight, before threatening the attendant with a knife and fleeing with an alleged quantity of cash.
A statement by Victoria police said a search warrant was executed at a Warrnambool address later in the morning, where detectives seized a quantity of cash, and a man was arrested around 10.15am.
The man was charged with armed robbery and appeared in the Warrnambool Magistrates' Court on Friday afternoon via video link.
Warrnambool police Sergeant Martin Flannery told The Standard it was unknown how much cash was alleged to have been taken.
