She triumphed with 19 votes ahead of Stawell's Vanilla Ika and South Warrnambool's Olivia Wolter who were joint runners-up on 16 votes.
WVFFL celebrated its 2021 award winners during an online ceremony. The Kangaroos' female football coordinator Loretta Kearney believes Rentsch is an AFLW player in the making.
"She's enthusiastic about her football and wants to take it as far as she can," she said.
Kearney also highlighted the youngster's leadership qualities and eagerness to learn. The athletic teenager has a great leap and played mostly in the ruck this season.
Kearney said Rentsch played with Penshurst in the juniors boys competition before joining the Kangaroos' under 18 female side in 2020.
Portland's Nicola Clark claimed the women's league best and fairest with 12 votes.
The Tigers' vice-captain took out the award in her first season after moving to the south-west from Queensland. She played a high standard of football in the sunshine state and represented Queensland as a junior.
Clark displayed versatility in her first season playing a variety of positions including ruck rover and centre half-back.
She edged out South Warrnambool's Stella Bridgewater who was runner-up on 11 votes.
South Warrnambool pair Kate Noseda and Olivia Wolter slotted 22 goals each to take home the under 18 goal-kicking honour.
The season was interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.
