Tigers recruit Tyler Schafer and skipper Grant Cameron occupy two of the first three spots on the division one runs leaderboard.
Schafer, who has played for Russells Creek and Mortlake, has made 157 runs at an average of 52 in the first three rounds.
Cameron has crafted 127 from two appearances at the crease at an average of 63.
Wedged between them is Noorat wicket-keeper Jacob Fishwick with 132 runs from two games.
Cameron said it was pleasing to see the division one newcomer, which has won one of its first three games, producing at the top of the order.
But he is eager for the Tigers, who host Cobden on Saturday, to find more batting consistency to help them challenge.
"I don't think we're too far behind. We have fallen over a couple of times pretty cheap late in the innings," Cameron said.
"We've had good starts, we're just not stringing partnerships together late.
"Once everyone gets a grasp of things, I think we'll give sides a good nudge."
Cameron said Schafer was a handy addition.
"It was a good pick up to get Tyler," he said.
"He is a good cricketer and has a lot of passion about cricket and puts it to use."
Cameron played down his own contribution but said he was pleased to be back making runs in the top grade.
"We've been pushing to get A grade back for a while," he said.
"I am loving it."
Jason Fowler is playing with his sons Issac and Jake in the Tigers' top team which prides itself on its all-round ability.
"We have a pretty young team - Jase is probably the oldest bloke and I probably field like I am the oldest bloke," Cameron said.
"I'd say the average age would be under 25."
