Flynn Gurry, Grace Kenny, Evie Mae and Jun Parker to play at The Art Farm Port Fairy

Based at The Art Farm Port Fairy, the new S.L.A.M Studios is a multipurpose arts space featuring a fully-equipped digital multi-track production facility.

To celebrate the new space an open week will be held from November 20-27 offering free recording, mixing and mastering to south-west artists all week.

As part of the week, a live gig is being presented on November 24 featuring Flynn Gurry, Grace Kenny, Evie Mae and Jun Parker.

Flynn Gurry is a south-west independent singer-songwriter and is headlining the intimate gig.

As a local artist, finding promoters and venues to host up-and-coming talent can be tough, he said.

"The gig is all about showcasing this new space that's opened up here in Port Fairy and promoting some young and emerging artists," Gurry said.

"To be able to perform to an actual audience is going to be really nice.

"The space is so cool, I'm sitting here and there's old pianos, there's lots of art, the floor is covered in paint... you'd be very inspired to come here and make music or art.

"The studio can be a very daunting space, especially entering for the first time, so it's very cool to have a space like this with a team behind it to help."

Gurry is dropping a new single on November 26, with an upcoming show at the Commercial Hotel Terang ahead of the release of his new album.

Live at The Art Farm is supported by The Standard and 3WAY-FM on Wednesday November 24, from 7.00pm at the Art Farm.
