The club got to display the outfit for the first time this past week with the return of Western District Playing Area competition.
"Our president and our committee decided we needed a fresh look and we wanted to try and make ourselves part of the town which Terang has always been red and blue with the footy and the cricket and that sort of stuff," he said.
"So it was just a way of bringing in the community."

Downie explained the club got sponsorship and went through a process to select the outfit.
"We took our ideas to the committee and then to the members and they said 'yep, we'll go for it'," he said.
"And it went through a few different design stages and we're pretty happy with the way it's all turned out."

The assistant secretary said the feedback so far had been encouraging.
"Yep really positive, on Saturday was our first time wearing them in pennant and everybody was really rapt with how they look and the way the club is presented, it just gives a whole fresh look to the club," he said.
Downie, who is also the West Coast Region treasurer, said it had been long time since the club had updated its look.
"It's been the same uniform since when uniforms first changed to colour (from plain white)," he said.
"To my knowledge this is the first time the uniform has changed."
Downie's side Terang Gold fell 58-56 to City Rubies on Tuesday in division one pennant at City Memorial.
