It shapes up as the match of the round given both sides have been juggernauts of the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association in recent years.
They are also both coming off resounding Twenty20 Cup wins.
Creek had little trouble overcoming Southern Titans in their short-form encounter on Saturday at Mack Oval.
Opener Luke Smith (33) and coach Jarryd Walsh (34) at first-drop certainly put up a fight for the Titans and had them 1-63.
But their teammates struggled to score particularly off the bowling of Josh Campbell (3-10) and Shashan Silva (3-9).
Campbell (26 not out) and Silva (47) also contributed well with the bat as Creek registered 2/114 from 12 overs.
It marked the beginning of the season which was delayed by a month because of the coronavirus pandemic.
It was also the Titans' first official match after East Warrnambool-YCW and Killarney merged to form the club.
Williams added he was impressed by the Titans and feels they will be a force in division two this season.
Southern Titans coach Jarryd Walsh said the group got off to a flyer with the bat but fell away.
He was thrilled to play a match against such strong opposition.
"You can also look at it as a practice match and what's better than playing a practice match against the top side in the region," he said.
Walsh will face his old club Nirranda in the Titans' opening one-day match next weekend.
"We've just got to go out and focus on what we want to do," he said.
"We had a bowling plan today and we didn't execute it, the pitch was slippery but that's no excuse.
"So next week we'll take a bowling and batting plan in and try execute it as best we can."
