The festival returns to the iconic seaside village on the long weekend in March 2022, delivering a huge line-up of acts including homegrown Australian and New Zealand talent set in the surrounds of the mighty Southern Ocean.

It adds to the already huge lineup announced earlier this year.
The 2020 Folkie was one of the last major events to go ahead before the coronavirus pandemic reached Australian shores in March.
This year an intimate concert series was held in Port Fairy in lieu of the 10,000-plus crowds that usually descend upon the south-west for four days of folk music and storytelling.

Festival committee president John Young said the team was looking forward to bringing live music back to Port Fairy.
"On the back of announcing an incredibly strong line-up of Australian and New Zealand talent this week, we are excited to be celebrating our 45th Folk Festival event on the long weekend in March and putting on the safest, healthiest and happiest festival, with our Port Fairy community at the forefront," Mr Young said.
The 45th Port Fairy Folk Festival will take place in Port Fairy, Victoria from 11-14 March 2022.
