The superhero on and off the big screen has seen Cowra Tourism's "Get Chris To Cowra" campaign and says he would love to visit the town and region.
Arguably the best Avenger shared Cowra Tourism's video on his Instagram on Monday with a caption highlighting the difficulty COVID-19 has had on regional and rural tourism.
"Big love to all the folks in Cowra for this amazing campaign, warmed my heart and made me smile," the post said.
"I'm off shooting a film over seas soon but upon return next year I'm comin [sic] in hot!!
"Like many regional towns around Australia, Cowra has suffered from a lack of tourism due to COVID-19 pandemic.
"So when things open up be sure to check out all the amazing places Australia has to offer!"
The idea to have the God of Thunder fly in with the Mjolnir was a top secret project over the last few months for Cowra Tourism, who produced a three minute, 41 second video encouraging the Hollywood heartthrob to visit.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The video was released on October 12, and has since been viewed over 6,500 times, with viewers enamoured with what Cowra has to offer.
"This is a fabulous video, grew up in the country... Made me realise how much I miss it. If Chris doesn't show, I'm sure he will, you've still made a lot of people appreciate your town. A tent stay with the hubby is now on my bucket list," one view commented.
"What a great ad to promote Cowra. It's funny, it shows the beauty and the history of what they have to offer, it was so Aussie. Where the bloody hell is my suitcase?" another added.
Tourism also encouraged residents to get involved by sharing the hashtag #GetChrisToCowra and visiting the website www.getchristocowra.com.au or Facebook page www.facebook.com/GetChrisToCowra/
The result has seen Chris appearing (albeit photoshopped) at a number of businesses and locations around town.
The campaign even snagged an appearance on the TODAY show with host Karl Stefanovic offering to run an episode in Cowra on a Friday and stay the weekend.
