Once international borders re-open, this certificate will be required to travel overseas.
To request your certificate, you must have a valid MyGov account which is linked to your Medicare account.
Log into MyGov and click your linked Medicare account.
Scroll to the bottom of the page, click the second box 'proof of vaccination'.
At the bottom of the next page, click 'request a certificate'.
Review the details of your vaccinations and ensure it's correct. Click 'next'.

If everything is correct, you will now be able to download your COVID-19 international vaccination certificate.
The QR code can be printed or kept digitally. Either way, it will need to be on your person along with your passport before you travel internationally.
The QR code is protected with the same encryption as the Australia ePassport.
