Rantall, who was selected with pick 40 in the 2019 AFL draft, joined midfielder Brayden Sier and rookie Isaac Chugg as the departures from the Holden Centre on Friday.
Rantall, a hard-running midfielder, made his debut in the Magpies' ANZAC Day defeat to Essendon.
He's the second Hampden league export to be delisted in the off-season, joining Essendon's Marty Gleeson who also wasn't offered a contract for 2022.
Rantall burst onto the scene in his draft year, averaging 24.9 disposals for Greater Western Victoria Rebels. He also played for Vic Country in the 2019 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, averaged 18.8 disposals and 3.5 tackles.
