Despite bidding moving online, Warrnambool's real estate market remains hot property with two central 1930s homes each selling for $100,000 above agents' expectations.

An extensively renovated three bedroom, two bathroom brick home, on a 980 square metre block at 249 Koroit Street, sold for $985,000.
Ray White agent and auctioneer Fergus Torpy said its price guide was $800,000 - $880,000 and it was purchased by a Melbourne buyer.
There were six bidders and the online auction was watched by 73 people.
"It was a very strong result and exceeded the owners' expectations," Mr Torpy said. "They're very, very pleased."

Homeseeka Real Estate senior agent and auctioneer Tim Wells sold 7 McConnell Street on Saturday for $790,000 to local couple returning to the city.
He said the double-brick three-bedroom, two-bathroom home was on a 1000 square metre block in a "superb sought-after location."
He said its price guide was $690,000 to $750,000 and the owners were delighted with the result.
Mr Wells said about 50 groups toured the property in between lockdowns and bidding was between six parties.
"It goes to show the demand is still there for properties," Mr Wells said. "When you're getting multiple bidders it shows the buyers are coming out in force. Warrambool's always been a great destination and will continue to be, but even with lockdowns, demand is still high," Mr Wells said.
