"A couple weeks before round one we had a practice match at home and I was looking at the Panmure premiership photos and saw that we had a 1923 premiership photo," he said.
"I then did some research and found out we won our first in 1921 and I thought not every day you get to do a 100-year celebration.
"So I put it forward to the committee about doing a heritage jersey."
Kew said he had a variety of ideas for the design of the jumper.
"Back in the day it was a basic navy blue with a a white V and it was pretty plain and simple then," he said.
"Throughout the journey we have had four or five different designs and I tried to incorporate all those designs into one but it was too much in the end so we decided to go with what we wore in 1920s."
The Bulldogs, who were called the Blues at the time, won their first premiership in the Garvoc and District Football Competition.

The seniors and reserves were to wear the special jumper against Dennington but the recent coronavirus lockdown forced them to change plans after the league switched round 12 to round 14.
They will now wear it against fellow finals fancy Allansford when the Cats travel to Panmure Recreation Reserve on July 10 for round 13 of the Warrnambool and District league.
The game will also be the 300th match for loyal Bulldog Daniel Meade.
The club will also be renaming the entrance to Panmure Recreation Reserve as the Frank Ryan Gate in honour of the highly-respected Bulldog.
The special jumpers will also be auctioned after the match on the club's Facebook page with bids starting at $100.

Kew, who is in his third year captaining the club's senior side, said it was special to be part of the design of the jumper.
"We haven't really done something like this before and it's good to be part of," he said.
"Panmure is such a great place and the footy club is pretty much the only thing that is in the community so it is good to be part of it."
This weekend Panmure will travel to Timboon to take on the Demons before the scheduled league-wide bye.
The fourth-placed Bulldogs, who have six wins and three losses so far this season, have drafted in Kailan Melican and Matt Colbert to replace ruckman Daniel Roache and Zeke Reeves.
