Amy Wormald (netball), Grace Rodgers (work camp) and Molly McKinnon (family holiday) will miss Saturday's Big V basketball away game.
Mermaids coach Lee Primmer said the youth-laden Mermaids would need to find scoring options against the Venom.
"We have to find some offence from somewhere because Molly has been really, really good the last three or four games, up around the 15-20 points a game mark," he said.

"Grace has been around that 15-20 points a game and Amy, when she's played, has been a 15-20 (point player also) so there is a lot of offence we won't have.
"In saying that, we're still going to have 60 shots. How we shoot the ball with the younger ones with the pressure and how they handle it remains to be seen."
Primmer said teenagers Paiyton Noonan and Sarah Perry had scoring power and would enjoy extended minutes on court.
He also identified starters Mia Mills and Molly McLaren as capable of hitting the scoreboard more.
Ava Bishop, another of the Mermaids' young cohort, is also considered capable of contributing at the offensive end.
Primmer said the Mermaids had "fun and enjoyable nights" at practice but were "excited to be back on the floor".
