Police say they are staggered that no one was killed in a head-on collision at Rosebrook, just east of Port Fairy, late Sunday afternoon.

A police spokesman said the two-car collision happened about 4pm involving a Ford Ranger heading west and a Range Rover going east.
The Ford Ranger contained a couple in their 60s from Phillip Island.
The Range Rover was being driven by a Warrnambool man in his 30s heading home with his two-year-old daughter.
"One of the vehicles crossed the centre double white lines which led to a significant head-on collision," he said.
"The Range Rover flipped onto its roof before returning to its wheels.
"The driver of the Range Rover was trapped in his vehicle, which had closed in around him and it took almost an hour to extricate him."
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman confirmed the two men and two females involved in the accident suffered only minor injuries.
The police officer said all four people involved in the collision had been transported to the Warrnambool Base Hospital for observation, assessment and treatment.
"The two drivers appear to have only suffered superficial injuries, the older woman was uninjured and it appears the young child is also uninjured. She was appropriately restrained in a child seat," he said.
"It's been a head-on driver-to-driver collision. Looking at the damage, it's completely astonishing no one is dead.
"Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the cause of the collision, although distraction may be and we will continue to investigate the cause."
The spokesman said it was a timely reminder to all drivers to take extra care during the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
"There's lots of traffic on the roads and we just want everyone to get home safely," he said.
"Fortunately in this instance everyone was properly secured, belted up and the outcome could have been far far worse."
There have been a number of fatal accidents across the south-west in the past couple of weeks.
Last Thursday a 50-year-old Gorae woman died in a collision with a tree north of Portland, on Wednesday a 20-year-old Simpson woman is believed to have been swept away in flood waters while driving to work and that followed the death the previous week of an elderly woman pedestrian in Warrnambool about 5.45pm on the Friday night after a motorcycle rider in his 60s was killed near Allansford in a collision with a turning vehicle.
