The league had missed two rounds due to a state government coronavirus lockdown.
Restrictions, which allow for senior competitions to resume, will ease on Thursday at midnight.
"The WDFNL is pleased to resume senior competition this weekend in netball and football," a statement read.
"After consulting with all clubs the support for a resumption was overwhelming."
There will be protocols in place, such as crowd caps, which will have impacts on clubs.
But the desire to play, having already completed six rounds, outweighed those concerns.
"Despite the onerous nature of current restrictions, all of which entail increased workload and responsibility for club volunteers as well as significant financial implications, the clubs indicated their major priority is to ensure our competitions continue, fixture integrity is maintained, and all our member/s are able to continue to participate in their chosen sport (or sports)," the statement read.
"The WDFNL board supports this decision and greatly appreciates the willingness and enthusiasm displayed by clubs to resume senior grades this weekend.
"We would ask all WDFNL members, participants, and spectators to understand the current restrictions, and show a degree of patience, understanding and tolerance during these unprecedented conditions we are all operating under.
"Hopefully a return to normality is not too far away."
WDFNL's league's juniors played last weekend as restrictions allowed sport for those aged 18 and under to resume earlier.
The league's round 10 fixture this week is:
Old Collegians v Dennington, Davidson Oval
Nirranda v Panmure, Nirranda Recreation Reserve
Kolora-Noorat v Russells Creek, Noorat Recreation Reserve
Timboon Demons v Merrivale, Timboon Recreation Reserve
South Rovers v Allansford, Walter Oval
