City Red's Western District Bowls Division top-grade weekend pennant-winning side defeated Colac and Portland RSL in the West Coast Region finals last month.
"It's been three or four weeks since we won regionals so we just got together during the week and had a meeting," Sheehan said.

Sheehan played in Warrnambool Bowls Club's Autumn Classic Pairs this past fortnight.
The skipper said City Red had everyone on board this weekend with a squad of 14, plus its manager.
He explained there are 12 teams with two sections made up of six sides each.
Teams play five round robin games and the winner of each section meets in the final on Sunday afternoon.
Timboon Bowls Club is representing the Western Region in the midweek pennant state finals which start on Monday at Moama.
