The 21-year-old (298) overcame difficult conditions and a below par back nine on Saturday to hold off Adam Tribe and Scott Boschen to win his first A grade club championship by five shots.
Tribe and Boschen both finished on 303 after their four rounds with the former taking second place on a count back.
Di Robinson scored her third Port Fairy women's A grade championship after shooting 332 in her four rounds. Glenda Clarke (344) was runner-up.
"To be honest it doesn't really bother me what I do for the rest of my golfing career to have a club championship is pretty special," Cameron said of his win.
"It is pretty amazing to be an A grade club champion at 21.
"It was a very shaky back nine. I had 42 around the back and only just hung in there in the end.
"Scotty (Boschen) shot 75 so he had a good day today. It was good watching him play."
Cameron, who grew up on a sheep and beef farm in Hawkesdale, said he kept his nerves under control and just played his game as he stormed to his first title.
"It was playing tough and it was very windy. On the 16th (of the final round) the nerves maybe got me but that happens I suppose and then I finished strong going into the wind which was good," he said.

"I never really worried about my score I just went out and hit it close and then get it in the hole.
"That was the biggest key and I wasn't going to let myself have scorecard pressure. The last couple of weeks I just went out and played and came away with some decent scores."
The newly-crowned champion now turns his attention to the Western District Golf Association pennant season.
Robinson, who has also won three club championships at Warrnambool, said she was excited and relieved to win another Port Fairy women's title.
"It's scary playing in championships and I feel very excited about winning another," she said.

"I was trying to be a bit safe and not going for something that was a bit dangerous. That is almost harder to do than going for it because you are used to going for shots.
"I was amazed in this wind on how I played so well in the final round. I had 10-over the card and in all the rounds I had 80, 83, 86 (penalised for hitting outside tee box on the eighth) and then 83."
Robinson will take a break before travelling to New Zealand to tick more courses off her golf bucketlist.
In other grades Richard McKellar (334) claimed the men's B grade title from Mark Gramms (344). Ben Polson (389) won C grade with Mark Fay (391) the runner-up.
In the women's B grade Di Grieves (377) was crowned champion with Pauline Pennings (384) the runner-up. Mary McIlroy (425) narrowly won the C grade from Michelle Blain (426).
