The news follows the grisly discovery of a decomposed foot in a running shoe at Bournda Beach, south of Tathra on the NSW Far South Coast last Sunday, now confirmed as belonging to Sydney businesswoman Melissa Caddick.
Ms Caddick vanished the day after corporate watchdog ASIC executed a search warrant at her luxury Dover Heights home in Sydney's eastern suburbs on November 11, 2020.
Liquidators allege the self-styled financial adviser "meticulously and systematically" deceived those who entrusted millions of investment dollars to her over seven years, then used the money to fund her lavish lifestyle.
Ms Caddick's foot was on February 21 found by campers at Bournda Beach.
It is unclear whether these additional finds are related, or indeed even whether they are human.
About 6.30pm on Friday, February 26, police were called to a beach at Mollymook after a member of the public located remains.
The grisly find was reportedly a large chunk of stomach flesh, including a bellybutton.
Then on Saturday, February 27, about 5.40pm police were called to a beach at Cunjarong Point, after a member of the public located remains.
And police were called again on Sunday, February 28, with more remains located at Warrain Beach, Culburra.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended each location and established crime scenes.
All remains will undergo forensic examination to determine if they are human or animal.
There were also reports in other media that further remains had been found at Tura Beach, north of Merimbula on the weekend. However, police said those bones have since been determined as animal, not human.
