Sport across the south-west can return from Thursday after the state government on Wednesday announced the five-day "circuit breaker" coronavirus lockdown would come to an end.

The key changes from midnight on Thursday are sport and recreation activities can resume, with density quotas in place.
Cricket, lawn bowls, basketball and the final round of the Shipwreck Coast Swim Series will return this coming weekend.

The Warrnambool and District Cricket Association on Thursday backflipped on its decision to play on both Saturday and Sunday, reverting its second-last two-day fixture to a one-dayer.
WDCA chairman Gordon McLeod said availability across both days at short notice was a concern to some clubs.
McLeod said junior finals would be pushed back a week to make up for the days missed through Victoria's snap lockdown.
Under 17 semi finals will take place across the next two Tuesday nights with the grand final now scheduled for March 7.
The under 13 grade, meanwhile, will play semis across the next two Saturdays with the grand final likely to take place just prior to the colts decider.
The under 15 division will play semi finals over the next two Friday evenings but the grand final date is yet to be set in stone.
The location of these games is to be confirmed.
The under 17 female will hold semi finals next Wednesday, with the grand final to play off before the senior women's final at Mack Oval on Sunday week.
The South West and Grassmere cricket association's will run new rounds this weekend. The SWCA abandoned all games last weekend with teams receiving three points each, similar to a washout.
Grassmere Cricket Association president Rhys Dews said Woolsthorpe-Mailors Flat and Wangoom, who postponed their round 10 fixture, would now play on Sunday.
"They moved it after the passing of Duncan Craw. I think they're both going to make a bit of a day of it, as he played for both clubs," Dews said.
"It hits home pretty hard when they've been involved with someone through sport. It's good they can play and (celebrate his life)."
South West Cricket Association president Kym Mathew said the clubs were excited to return.
"We'll have our contingency plans in place. The clubs have been good," he said.
"It's a privilege to play the game (in the COVID-19 climate) and we're grateful for that opportunity."
Western District Bowls Division confirmed its Saturday pennant will return for the final round of its regular season this weekend and the finals for mid-week pennant will start on Tuesday.
Secretary Marian Treweek said the split sessions and social distancing would continue while mandatory mask wearing would return.
Shipwreck Coast Swim Series committee member Scott McKenzie said it will run the final leg at Port Campbell on Saturday.
McKenzie said Lifesaving Victoria had approved their request to run this weekend following last week's postponement.
He added the committee and Port Campbell Surf Lifesaving Club were excited to conclude the series.
"It will be great not only for our club but it's great for competitors as over 200 were entered," he said.
"They have all stuck with us and entered for this week.
"It means a lot to them to finish off the swim series and a lot of them done it for a number of years running and are keen to get third leg done.
"It would mean a lot to all three clubs to have been able to pull all our resources together again and run the three swims."
Warrnambool Seahawks' clash with Terang Tornados this past week was cancelled but the two teams are expected to return this week against Colac Kookas and Ararat Redbacks respectively.
The Terang Harness Racing Club is also preparing to run its Trotting and Pacing cups this Saturday night but is waiting for direction in regards to patrons attending the event.
Premier Dan Andrews said entertainment and public events could go ahead but would have caps.
NAB League Girls, including Greater Western Victoria Rebels, will resume for round three on Saturday. Boys squads will resume training from Thursday.
A number of south-west athletes are waiting to see if the opening weekend of the Athletics Victoria State Championships at Lakeside Stadium.
Grace Kelly, Ruby Darcy, Jesse Suter, Emily Morden and Caytlyn Sharp have events this weekend.
Kelly, Suter, Morden, Sharp and Josh Bail have events the following week.
