THE old clatter clatter of a heritage red-rattler train will roll into Warrnambool on Saturday with tickets for the ride selling quickly.

Allansford train enthusiast Eddie White said Steamrail last travelled to Warrnambool in 2019 with the steam engine R711 and this year the Otway Explorer would look a little different, with heritage 'E' type carriages travelling all the way through to Warrnambool for the first time in 17 years.
"We do this every year and it's always popular," he said.
"This shuttle trip is proving to be extremely popular.
"We've probably already sold 100 seats."
Mr White said the trains created a lot of nostalgia for people who could remember catching similar ones to Melbourne.
"People routinely remember going to Melbourne or to school on these older carriages," he said.
"Tickets are still available and I'm happy for people to contact me for more information."
People will be able to experience the "old-school" air conditioning with open windows in heritage wooden carriages dating back to 1906.
The train will leave Camperdown at about 12.50pm and arrive at Warrnambool at 1.45pm.
It will then depart Warrnambool at 2.40pm and arrive back in Camperdown at 3.35pm.
To coincide with the train the Courthouse Camperdown will be offering tours from midday of the town's historic clock tower.
Courthouse Camperdown's Terry Brain said due to COVID-19 restrictions people were encouraged to call to book a spot for the tour.
"There are limited places available so we'd like people to call and book ahead," he said.
Mr Brain said shops and cafes would be open to welcome visitors to Camperdown.
