Hawkesdale is hoping to field two senior teams and two junior teams as it moves to the Warrnambool-based association for next season.
The three-time reigning premier's decision comes after the Grassmere Cricket Association pulled up stumps on a 75-year existence in November.

Cats president David West told The Standard the club was proud to carry its name and identity into the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association.
"We had a few meetings to discuss our options, whether we wanted to go standalone or to go with another club," he said.
"There was a bit of discussion about whether we went in with a new identity, a bit like what Purnim did with Northern Raiders, but we decided to stay as Hawkesdale Cricket Club.

"The community, the recreation reserve committee, they were all keen to see the name continue. We've created a really good culture over the past four or five years and had some success and we want to keep that going."
West said the club was well-poised with strong player numbers and the reintroduction of juniors after eight years. He said senior players were committed to helping juniors improve and enjoy their cricket. He said the club was looking to don new colours to fit WDCA requirements and would weigh up its options in coming weeks.
