Sweet As Emm was the fastest qualifier last week in the lead up to the Bold Trease which is part of Friday night's card for the $630,000 Melbourne Cup final.
Friday night completes greyhound racing's inaugural Metropolitan Festival of Racing.
The Bold Trease is named after the four-time Sandown Cup champion Bold Trease, who was trained by top Warrnambool greyhound trainer Norm McCullagh.
The Brendan Purcell-trained Sweet As Emm has drawn box two and Mugavin believes it's a good box to defeat hot favourite Houdini Boy and Blazing Cartier.
"Sweet As Emm has drawn ideally," Mugavin told The Standard.
"It's a tough race - none of them are easy to win, especially when it carries a prize-money purse of $150,000.
"I've got to pinch myself to think we've got another live chance to win the race.
"Sweet As Emm normally jumps well and has good natural speed. She should lead or be on the pace."
Mugavin also bred and owned former star stayer Born Ali, a winner of 20 races including the 2014 group one Galaxy in Perth, and more than $250,000 in prize-money before being retired for breeding.
Born Ali is Sweet As Emm's mother.
The Mugavin's family success in greyhound racing and breeding goes back nearly four decades.
Among the champion greyhounds the Mugavin family has bred and raced are Express Hazard (27 wins), Modern Express (29), Golden Currency (35), Poetic Reward (41) and Modern Assassin (40).
Mugavin's first Bold Trease winner was Barcali in 2018.
