The Moyne Shire youth and FReeZa programs are bringing a Pop-Up Recording Studio to the municipality earlier next year.
Applications to take part in these sessions are now open and will remain so until December 6.
The successful candidates will come away from the program with professionally produced tracks and a video clip, courtesy of the Universal Music Group Australia.
They will also be guaranteed radio air-time and be considered for live shows and a recording studio scholarship.
Moyne Shire Director of Community and Corporate Services, Kevin Leddin, said he was excited to be able to harness the young musical talent within the shire.
"We are pleased to be able to provide this program for our talented musicians to thrive in the music scene," said Leddin.
"We know there is a lot of budding musical aptitude amongst the young people of Moyne and the south-west and this is a great way to get these young people involved in something they love to do, and provide them a platform to further their careers."
The young performers will work with producer Cameron Deyell and will take part in a workshop with prominent Australian singer-songwriter Nathan Cavaleri.
