Some could argue an enormous opportunity exists for the Kylie Murphy-led competition. Imagine being the only show in town for even one season.
All eyes on your clubs, your players and your competitions. It all sounds very tempting and could set the league on a long path of success.
The league will make the call on June 24. It's still largely unclear what the decision will be.

The same challenges which pushed the Hampden league's clubs and executives to pull the pin on their senior seasons will of course face the district league, but it's impossible to know what will happen in such a rapidly-changing environment.
A fortnight ago, who would've thought crowds of any kind would be allowed at AFL fixtures? Suddenly, the rules change and a capped number of people will be allowed to watch their teams in action for the season restart this weekend.
In another two weeks, the goalposts could well shift again. The state government could hypothetically allow crowds of 500 into games which would change the situation dramatically.
What we know is uncertainty is the biggest frustration and such a big part of the reason so many leagues around the state are electing to put the 2020 season on the scrapheap.
If anything, it's time for the Victorian government to let clubs, leagues and players know where they stand.
Nothing radical needs to happen - there's still time. But some guidance would be a godsend. If New South Wales and South Australia can have a date and guidelines around a return to play, surely we Victorians can too.
