South-west football and netball clubs are brainstorming ideas to engage with their communities amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Timboon Demons, a Warrnambool and District league outfit, is set to launch its own YouTube channel.
Club secretary Donna Ellis is hoping to get Timboon Demons TV up and running on Saturday.
"We're trying to keep it fairly light-hearted, it's a pretty scary situation we find ourselves in," she said.
Ellis said it was important the club maintained its presence in its small community.
"We all can't get out, but we're still here and we're a big part of our local community," she said.
Ellis said the channel would cater for all ages and would be open for anyone to access.
There'll be video tutorials from senior coaches David Johnston and Leah Sinnott as well as from junior mentors.
"Just with some ideas for ours players to keep fit on their own," Ellis said.
The club secretary said the channel would also have links to AFL and Netball Victoria video resources.
She said that included resources from NetSetGo, Australia's official starter netball program for kids aged 5-10.
"We've got links to their channels so people don't need to hunt for things," she said.
The club also wants to engage its sponsors and will encourage them to record messages or put advertisements into videos.

There'll also be some club history on the channel, including the Heytesbury 1998 premiership in the Heytesbury-Mount Noorat league.
The Timboon Demons 2008 premiership win over Kolora-Noorat will also be posted.
Ellis said the club opted for a YouTube channel as many people in its community don't use social media such as Facebook.
