Port Fairy Golf Links operations manager Stephen Demartin said the committee would have a meeting on Wednesday night to discuss all its competitions.
He said the club was being guided by Golf Australia and had introduced numerous policies in response to the coronarvirus pandemic.
"We've got a strict cleaning regime and we're going cashless," he said.

Only cards can be used at the club effective Wednesday, March 18.
Demartin said the club was communicating with members as much as possible about updates with the coronavirus.
Port Fairy has the second round of its ladies championship on Thursday and the second round of the men's on Saturday.
Peter Redford (74) leads A grade after the first round of the men's competition, ahead of Adam Tribe and Shane Gurnett (both 77).
Anne Dwyer and Martina Whelan, who had 87, are leading the ladies.
Warrnambool club captain Colin Williams said his club was keeping track of updates.
"At this stage, we plan to still run them (the championships) until advised otherwise," he said.
He said the club would abide by the directions of Golf Australia.
WGC introduced numerous measures on Tuesday including no hand shakes and removing sunscreen from change rooms.
The club has men and women playing on Saturday (up to 200 people), veterans competition (about 90) on Tuesday, ladies on Wednesday (about 70) and professional competition (up to 180) on Thursday.
Williams said golf was in an interesting position in relation to the coronavirus.
He said while the club attracted relatively big fields, players weren't all in the same space at the same time. Rather they are outdoors in small groups. They also come into the clubhouse at different times.
Jarrod Fary, a past club championship winner, is leading the table followed by Blair Prescott after two rounds. Alison Sinclair leads the A grade women's section.
The final round of the men's club championships will be held on Sunday while the women's is on Wednesday.
WGC measures:
- Removal of sunscreen from change rooms
- Trays are now available at the bar to carry rounds of drinks back to table
- Members are asked to pay in the pro shop and at the bar by pay wave rather than cash
- The exchanging of coins (ie $2 bets) is discouraged
- No hand shakes
- Flags have been removed from the practice greens
- Communal food is discouraged ie. the veterans biscuits and sharing of hot chips or crisps
- Members are asked to use their gloved hand to use bunker rakes and remove pins
- Please use hand sanitiser provided around the club
This week WGC received a letter from Golf Australia providing advice which included the statement:
"It should be noted that the vast majority of golfers can and should continue to visit your clubs or facility as per normal. Of course, golfers should exhibit a heightened awareness of personal hygiene as has been encouraged by state and federal health departments."
Golf Australia has also cancelled GA-run events through to May 16.
"To be clear, Golf Australia is not advocating for regular club competitions to cease and we are encouraging that these continue. Rather, we have sought to act on events where we believe the significant travel requirements involved posed a greater risk than the regular act of competition golf," the letter to WGC read.
