The race for South West Cricket Association finals spots is heating up with three teams on 84 points.
Third-placed Cobden, fourth-ranked Noorat and fifth-positioned Camperdown are in the hunt with four matches to play.
But Bookaar, in sixth with 72 points, is also every chance to make the final four.
Bookaar will travel to Timboon on Saturday to face bottom-ranked Heytesbury Rebels.
Lucas, who is also club president, said the Pelicans were taking it one week at a time.
"We're just focused on this week first and I think last time we beat Heytesbury," he said.
"But cricket is a funny game, we'll have to be playing our best on Saturday to win."

The Pelicans will have Mortlake, Camperdown and Terang to contend with after playing the Rebels.
The clash with second-placed Mortlake looms as the defining test.
Lucas believes the Pelicans could improve on one area in particular.
"One thing we need to focus on is our bowling and to a be a bit tighter," he said.
"We need to eliminate some of the extras we've been conceding."
Bookaar gave away 24 extras in its loss to Cobden a fortnight ago.
The week before they conceded 34 extras against Simpson.
While there is room for improvement, Lucas has been pleased with the overall performance of the group.
He said Luke O'Neil had been good with the ball, sending down some "rockets".
O'Neil has claimed five division one wickets this summer.
Tim Fitzgerald has been dominant with the ball, taking 14 wickets.
Meanwhile, youngsters Zach Sinnott, Bailey McDonald and Paddy Baker have been showing some promise.
Lucas has been a run-machine this season having accumulated 274 runs from seven innings.
