South-west athletes blitzed the field at the Victorian Country Championships in Geelong on the long weekend.

Grassmere's Emily Smith secured a trio of gold medals in the women's 40 plus 100 metres, 200m and high jump.
Warrnambool's Layla Watson got a new personal best and took gold in the under 16 400m.
Warrnambool's Grace Kelly won the under 16 100m (12.68 seconds) and under 16 200m (25.81) in her second country championships.
The 13-year-old completed the double despite being bottom-aged. She also recorded the fastest 200m time of any woman at the meet.
Kelly claimed the double in the under 14 girl last year.
Watson and Kelly also gained another gold each after forming half of the 4x100m Ballarat Harriers' relay team.
The trio represented Ballarat Harriers in the three-day competition.
Kelly was thrilled with her results.
"To run like that, it's a good start to the season," she said.
She was grateful to her coaches Rob Duynhoven and Wayne Perry who helped her develop successful race plans.
Kelly has the Ballarat Gift in February.

Meanwhile, the new Athletics South West Turbines club got its first medal ever on Saturday.
Ella Sharp was second in under 18 hammer throw.
Ruby Darcy was consistent across the board in the under 14 girls with silver in the triple jump, silver in the 100m (14.51 seconds) and bronze in high jump (1.35m).
The 12-year-old got a massive personal best (pb) in triple jump (10.24m), her favourite event.
"I was pretty proud of myself to think I got a 14cm pb in triple jump," she said.
The Camperdown-based athlete had jumped more than 10m only twice before.
She was grateful to her coach Jeremy Dixon and the support of her Turbines teammates.
Darcy will now work towards the Little Athletics regional carnival which is in Ballarat in February.
Mailors Flat's Jesse Suter secured silver in the under 16 boys 100m and bronze in the under 16 200m.
Aaron Benson took bronze in the under 20 200m and Josh Bail claimed silver in the 10000m.
Terang's Caytlyn Sharp claimed gold in the para 100 metres, second in the women's open long jump, hammer throw and under 20 long jump. She also secured a silver with the Eureka open relay team.
Geelong-based runner Zac Norton won silver in the under 18 3000m and bronze in the steeplechase.
