Bant recorded the highest total of his decorated career on Saturday and also the highest score in the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association this season.
"It doesn't happen that often, it's good to cash in when you can," he said.
The former skipper added more than 50 runs to his previous WDCA best of 103 against Nirranda in 2017.
He now has three WDCA centuries.

His previous career-best knock was 149 for Panmure against Mailors Flat in 2014 in the Grassmere Cricket Association.
Bant, with three sixes and 14 fours, helped the Gators post an imposing 307 against Port Fairy at Avery's Paddock on Saturday.
"I probably took my time a fair bit early," he said of his 189-ball innings.
"They bowled pretty well before lunch and I took a while to get going.
"The pitch was really good and the outfield was good for batting after lunch."

Bant was full of praise for Rowan Ault (77) who he shared a 139-run partnership with in the two-dayer match.
"He batted really well and the left-hand and right-hand (Bant) combination helps out a bit too," he said.
Bant hasn't written off Port Fairy yet despite the Gators' mammoth total.
"I don't think that's that much over par," he said of his team's score.
"It's a good wicket and the outfield is really fast, we're certainly not expecting that we're going to win."
Bant overtook Port Fairy's Jason Perera (126) who had the highest WDCA 2019/20 score before the weekend.
Bant, who averages 41.08, has accumulated the most runs of any player this season with 534.
West Warrnambool's Ben Threlfall (505) has the second most and Woodford captain Nick Butters (487) is sitting third.
The eighth-ranked Gators are a slim chance to make finals but Bant said the team was focused on the present.
"It (finals) hasn't spoken about," he said.
"We started the year well and we've been going through a pretty rough trot."
He believes the Gators' best cricket gives them a chance against any side and he hopes they can build some momentum.
The Panmure senior football coach also said pre-season was humming along.
The Bulldogs had about 10 sessions before Christmas and got back into training on Monday night.
Bant was pleased to announce Tyson Hay would be returning this season after missing last year due to a shoulder reconstruction.
