Moor Wanted was to run in a $125,000 race at Flemington on November 9 but was a late scratching after injuring himself in the float on the way to the races.
The five-year-old resumes in a race down the famous Flemington straight on Saturday.
"I thought I had Moor Wanted pretty right to win in November but we had to scratch him," Chow said.
"We were pretty disappointed he had to come out because we thought he was a good chance.
"It took a few weeks to get Moor Wanted right again but he's good now. He had a good jump-out at Terang over 800 metres the other day to prepare him for this race.
"I'm happy with got apprentice jockey Michael Poy on board. Michael's two-kilogram claim is an advantage and Moor Wanted has run well at Flemington previously - so I rate him an each way chance in a tough race."

Fellow local trainers Aaron Purcell, Matthew Willams and Daniel Bowman have runners on the nine-race Flemington card.
Last-start Pakenham winner Midas Prince will attempt to win a $135,000 race for Purcell while Williams saddles up Kuramae, Paremuus Boy and Our Bottino.
Bowman accepted with Manhattan Arch and Mumbles. Colac hosts its traditional Christmas meeting with a seven race program on Saturday.
