The Hampden league last night kicked a financial goal, posting a $73,000 turnaround in its finances in the past 12 months.

Hamilton-based Tim Mason was re-elected as the football netball league's president for a second term at the annual general meeting in Warrnambool.
Mason, who took on the role earlier this year, said he was excited to go around again.
"It'll be good to consolidate what we've done in the 2019 season and then start to implement a few other changes and strategies we have going forward," he said.
He was pleased the league was back in the black, achieving a surplus of $43,354.
"We worked hard on sponsorship, on increasing revenues and increasing what we did around the finals," he said.
"We just watched everything we did and what we spent."
The positive result came after a $29,757 deficit in 2018.
Mason said he had learnt plenty from his first term.
"It's really just about the governance and actually making sure everyone is aware of what their role is," he said.
"That was probably the biggest learning for me. When we actually understand that and take a bit of ownership and responsibility for each area and give them a bit of ownership - everybody enjoys that and we end up with a better result."
The league took $323,553 in income, $17,387 down on 2018.
But $48,389 of the 2018 total came from Victoria Netball Association registrations which weren't collected in 2019.
The league significantly increased its sponsorship takings, up $16,490 to $93,586 this year.
Gate takings at the finals went up by $20,250 to $170,533.
The league spent $90,498 less than 2018 but more than half of the saving was because it did not have to shell out $50,144 on VNA registrations.
Club delegates had a forum, which lasted for about two hours, where match filming and the introduction of a match review panel were discussed. A proposal was put forward for all senior football matches to be filmed.
The clubs will now consider the idea and get back to the league board.
