The big-hitting opener blasted an irresistible 107-run haul to help his side defeat Purnim on Saturday.
Serle was supported by skipper Lachie Morrison (84) and Chamika Fernando (58) as Wangoom cruised to its first win of the campaign.
Serle returned to Wangoom in the winter after a season at Grassmere Cricket Association rival Yambuk - and Morrison couldn't be happier to have him back.
"It's fantastic. A couple of years ago when he was here he showed he was comfortable opening the batting and we definitely saw that on Saturday," he said.

"He's been batting really well - he just hasn't been going on to get a big score.
"It was really pleasing to see him go on and hit the three figures."
Morrison said confidence was flowing through his side after the 216-run victory.
"It was something that we really needed," he said.
"We've the talent in the side but we've never really showcased it. The blokes are training hard and it's nice to taste a bit of success."
