District league clubs Nirranda, Panmure and Russells Creek will have lower allocations next year after AFL Western District released its player points update.
The Blues and Creekers lost one point while the Bulldogs were docked two. Nirranda president Jake Harkness and Russells Creek football chairmen Mick Jongebloed were both disappointed by the decision.
"We only won three games last year and we get a point knocked off," a confused Jongebloed said. "They need to be open on what their stance is."
Harkness said the Blues need points to recruit externally because of their reduced junior numbers and geographic location.
Panmure coach Chris Bant, who has committed to recruiting homegrown talent, said the reduced cap didn't effect his side as it often sits well below its allocation.
Merrivale's 2019 player points allocation was reinstated after it was set to be docked two points.

The decision to approve the Tigers' request was based on the club not achieving the sustained success needed to fulfill the criteria for the reduction of points.
Six-time reigning premier Koroit is again the only Hampden league team below 40 points with the Saints remaining on 37.
It's the first time since the system's introduction in 2017 that all clubs caps haven't changed.
Camperdown (40 to 44) and Portland (40 to 45) had their applications for extra points denied.
AFLWD Commercial and Operations Manager Matthew Ross said their applications were denied because they had room to absorb any recruitment needs.
Ross said he had not received any feedback on the recent player points recent update.
He added that District league clubs which have recruited ex-East Warrnambool players can apply for individual player point concessions between February 3 and April 24.
AFLWD would heavily consider club's concessions in the case of East Warrnambool's recent recess.
