NOORAT debutant Jacob Fishwick is hoping his maiden century with the club's top-grade side is just the beginning of a fruitful stint in the South West Cricket Association.

The 23-year-old, who recently moved from South Australia to Warrnambool with his girlfriend Teaghan, compiled a steady 101 to raise the bat in his first game for the club on Saturday.
"It was pretty good to get one in my first game," the left-hander told The Standard.
"Hopefully I can try and keep up the form. They are a good bunch of boys (at Noorat) so it makes it fun."
His innings would pave the way for Noorat as they set Bookaar an imposing total of 6-223 after 50 overs.
The Pelicans could only manage 9-201 in reply, meaning Noorat kicked off the 2019-20 season with a handy win.
Fishwick, who was persuaded to join the club by his girlfriends brother-in-law, contributed patience as the key factor in his stunning debut century.
"I got off to a slow start and battled around for a couple of balls but then I got one away and from there I was able to push it around a bit more," the Midfield Meat employee said.
"(The main tactic) was just to see ball, hit ball."

The former Morphettville Park member returned to playing in the Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association last season after a suffering a broken leg playing rugby.
He hoped this season would be a year where Noorat could turn over a new leaf and begin a rise back up the table.
Noorat managed just one win and one draw as they recorded 12 losses in 2018-19 to finish with the wooden spoon.
The season before they recorded seven wins, two draws and 12 losses to finish in sixth.
Noorat's last appearance in a final was in the 2016-17. In that year it finished fourth and would go on to be defeated by eventual premiers, Mortlake, in a semi-final.
