The Geelong midfielder-forward, who rose through the ranks at Heywood and Hampden league outfit Portland Tigers, has been nominated for the Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award.
Jones was nominated for his work with Barwon Child Youth & Family's Foster Care Campaign.
The 20-year-old was brought into foster care at seven and later adopted by south-west resident Sue Lovett.
Jones, who debuted in round 10, 2018, has been a vocal advocate of the positive impact foster care can have on the lives of children and young people.
He has also worked alongside traditional land owners and Aboriginal community members to encourage cultural connection for young people through Geelong's Djilang Program.
Jones publicly encouraged young people to "explore, embrace, connect to and celebrate their culture through language, art, friendship and football".
He is up against GWS Giants star Stephen Coniglio, former Port Adelaide skipper Travis Boak and Carlton's Jessica Hosking.
