The Boomers defeated Dominican Republic 82-76 on Saturday to improve their record to 4-0.
Sobey was awarded four minutes' court time, finishing with two points.
The Brisbane Bullets-listed guard, who is competing with NBA duo Patty Mills and Matthew Dellavedova for minutes, sat on the bench for the Boomers' previous two games against Senegal and Lithuania.
He played 55 seconds in the Aussies' first game against Canada.
The Boomers will play undefeated France in their last pool game on Monday night at 10pm AEST.
The game will have connotations on both teams' finals paths.
