Ballard, who has represented her state and country on numerous occasions, said she was excited to play hockey in a different country.
"I'm stoked to be heading away with a great bunch of women from around Vic country," she said.
Carison, who is a doctor at Cambourne Clinic, said the trip would be an eye opener for the squad.
"I have traveled a lot myself but it will be very nice for everyone to get over there and people probably have different experiences of travel so it will be a good cultural experience," she said.
Wines, who is as a teacher at Hampden Specialist School in Cobden, said she did not expect to be playing in Malaysia when she first started her hockey career.
"I have traveled overseas a few times to Europe and America but not for sport," she said.
"It's a little bit of a goal of mine as I want to do something different before I maybe finish up and have a go at new things."
