"Their young players are so enthusiastic and energetic, they're pretty dynamic," he said after the Cats' 19.18 (132) to 8.8 (56) defeat.
"Tate Porter was fantastic and then with a guy like (experienced coach) Jason Rowan as a key forward, who is arguably one of the best forwards in the area whether it's Hampden league or district league, he presents for them."
Price was busy moving magnets on his coaching board when Jarvis climbed over Allansford key position player Robbie Hare in the third quarter.
But Tim Knoll, who helps run the Cats' back line, saw it and said "you just missed one of the best marks you'll ever see".

Rowan had high praise for Jarvis' specky.
"It was a good sight to see and it was on the biggest man on the ground," he said.
"It reminded a little bit of Shaun Smith's mark for Melbourne (in 1995). He got the leap, he got the sit and took the mark."
Merrivale sits two games clear in seventh spot with Allansford, now sixth, holding the same 5-5 win-loss record as South Rovers (fifth) and Panmure (seventh).
"We know where we're at - four sides above us on the ladder have all beaten us convincingly by 60 to 100 points," Price said. "We have a lot of hard work to do to progress and grow as a side."
