Six Hampden league clubs to benefit from Rebels' NAB League bye

Koroit's Connor Hinkley, Warrnambool's Mitch Burgess, Portland's Connor Giddings, Port Fairy's Josh Dwyer, Hamilton's Harry Waters and South Warrnambool trio - Flynn Atchison, Emmanuel Ajang and Fraser Marris - all return for round nine.

Burgess and Giddings go from teammates to rivals when the Tigers host the Blues, while it's a similar scenario for Dwyer and Waters in the Kangaroos-Seagulls clash.

Giddings is one of four changes for Portland with Harris Jennings (Vic Country), Tom Sharp (strained peck), Aaron Shepherd (unavailable) returning.

Hinkley strengthens the Saints' side alongside Tom Couch (unavailable), Todd White (Vic Country) and Tim McPherson (back) for their clash with Terang Mortlake.

The Roosters trio are joined by returning pair Tom Wilson and Jock Blair.

A number of the coaches with returning Rebels were pleased to strengthen their respective outfits with what the eight players bring.

"We're excited by what Josh gives us and we'll look to use his strengths in his speed, aerial capabilities and his skills," Port Fairy assistant coach Winis Imbi said.

Dwyer is joined by Dougall Hamilton, Tom Sullivan (corked thigh), Sandy Robinson (unavailable) and Samuel McCartney (calf), while Richard Bamblett (hamstring), Adam McCosh (suspended), Darcy Smith, Matt Pitt (work) and Matt Sully (sore) are out.

Warrnambool's Matt O'Brien said he would utilise the pace and skills of Burgess, who replaces Martin van Rooy, through his half-back line against the Tigers, who beat the Blues last season in round one by a point.

Hamilton's Matt Dunn was also excited to see Waters back in his side along with Jack Pertzel, Luke Uebergang, Jandre Slabbert and Taine Morris.

"Harry is a good small forward who provides good pressure and is pretty dangerous around goal," he said.

"He has had a taste of Rebels now with two games under his belt and hopefully he can bring that experience on Saturday."

Camperdown will unveil a son of a gun when 17-year-old Zac Sinnott makes his debut against Cobden. He replaces the injured Lachie Bone (calf), who is expected to miss at least two weeks.

The Bombers welcome back Tomas Lindquist (calf) and Ash Rosolin with Chris Paatsch (corked calf) out.

North Warrnambool Eagles coach Adam Dowie said his team had not been finalised on Thursday night but confirmed Michael Barlow had returned to VFL duties with Werribee.

Terang Mortlake welcomes back Tyson Densley (quad), Dom Kenna, Declan O'Connor (reserves) with Dylan Jones, harry Williams (unavailable) Paul O'Connor (hip flexor) out.
