The Power welcomes Ben Fraser, Brad Johnson, Stephen O'Connor, Jason Moloney and Nicholas Bourke into its side for the big clash with the reigning premier.
But Ben Walsh's team will be without prolific midfielder Scott Judd who will miss with a sore knee.
Walsh said it was a minor injury and the Power were talking a precautionary approach.
Nirranda has some injury woes of its own with star Isaac Templeton (hamstring) out until the middle of the season according to coach Shane Threlfall.
But the Blues bring in a host of players including star midfielder John Paulin and Aaron Smith.
Merrivale coach Jason Rowan is excited about the inclusion of experienced midfielder James Kelly for his side's clash with South Rovers.
"He's a great leader, he's going to be a big inclusion," he said.

Danny Chatfield's Bombers have a couple of changes with forward Gus Pomorin stepping up to the seniors and running player Ethan Rhyne another inclusion.

Old Collegians will finalise its team on Friday but captain Daryl Beechey and Rick Dolphin are certain to come back in.
The Warriors will face the Bombers without Blake Rudland-Castles who is set to miss between three to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
Timboon Demons coach Marcus Hickey has been forced to shift numerous magnets with Luke Smith and Lyndon Alsop unavailable, while Jack Osborne has injured his wrist.
Mik McSween, Jared Beaton and Lachlan Rosolin are among the Demons inclusions.
Dennington hasn't made any changes.
The undefeated Cats face the Bulldogs and have made one change with Stephen Kilpatrick coming in for Jeremy Ellis.
