We asked opposing captains Cam Williams (Russells Creek) and Mark Murphy (Brierly-Christ Church) the hard questions ahead of the division one two-day decider at Reid Oval on Saturday and Sunday.

Best sledger at your club?

Cam Williams: Quick bowler James Elford.

Mark Murphy: Probably Zavier Mungean fancies himself a bit for us but we don't really have many.

Best opposition sledger?

CW: Chris Bant can go when you stir him up. He's pretty good fun to go against, the Crab Shack from Allansford.

MM: James Elford.

Your most embarrasing moment on the field?

CW: I've been to country week a few years and I know after at least four of them I've made a duck (in the WDCA) the Saturday coming back, usually first-ballers too. And usually against you boys (at Brierly) too.

MM: A couple of weeks ago as I went out to bat, I went to do up my drawstring and it broke and I had to get some electrical tape around my waist to hold my pants up so that wasn't too good.

PEST: Joe Kenna is the Creekers' most annoying teammate, according to his captain Cam Williams.

Most annoying teammate?

CW: Joe Kenna, massively. Our wicket keeper Damon Cooper rates up there highly but Joe Kenna definitely.

MM: The Rookes are up there, Harry and Lachi. Harry pre-game with the music going can be quite distracting.

First choice from the opposition?

CW: Him (nodding to Murphy). Except for him, you'd go young Campbell Love. He's got a lot of potential, a lot of talent and he's shown glimpses this year that he can go places and will go places.

MM: Him too (nodding to Williams). Besides the bloke next to me, James Elford as an all-rounder option or even Joe Kenna. He is a really good spinner for the league and bowls quite well. He'll enjoy that.

CW: He'll love that.

Pre-game superstition?

CW: I listen on the way to the ground Enter Sandman by Metallica. I have that pumping and it gets me pumped up. It's been a little bit of a go-to this year and it's worked so hopefully it works on Saturday.

MM: I don't mind going down to the nets on a Friday and I get my fiancee (Jordyn Billings) to give me a few throwdowns. She'll love that little plug there and she throws them down quite quickly too.

Most memorable moment?

CW: Last year's premiership against Allansford, the first one for Russells Creek in division one, so that was certainly a massive highlight for myself personally and from the club's perspective.

MM: The premierships, winning the twenty20 this year was pretty good and winning the Sungold (Cup) one as well. And when I was in the under 17s winning a flag with the old man (Michael) coaching me was pretty special.
