Nineteen Hampden league players make 2019 Greater Western Victoria Rebels team

South Warrnambool siblings Liam and Marcus Herbert could run out in the rebranded NAB League together after making the 42-player list.

Liam was selected as a top-age prospect and Marcus as a bottom-ager.

Rebels talent manager Phil Partington said it was a special moment for the Herbert family.

"We've had a few brothers in the program before but it's different having a top-age and bottom-age brother," he said.

"But it's really good and exciting for the family and hopefully they play games together so the parents aren't divided. They are both talented boys."

The Herberts' South Warrnambool teammates Fraser Marris, Flynn Atchison, Emmanuel Ajang, Jay Rantall and Isaac Thomas will also test themselves in the statewide under 18 competition.

Atchison, Marris, Clem Nagorcka (Koroit), Patrick Rea (Warrnambool), Toby Jennings (Portland), Kobi Walter and Harry Waters (Hamilton Kangaroos) were picked as bottom-age prospects.

Top-age talent Josh Dwyer also made the list for the first-time after focusing on senior football with Port Fairy last season.

Liam Herbert and Rantall will also be involved with the program full-time for the first time after Australian under 17 basketball commitments took priority in 2018.

Thomas and Ajang, Toby Mahony (Camperdown), James Cleaver (Hamilton Kangaroos), Mitch Burgess (Warrnambool), Connor Giddings (Portland), Connor Hinkley (Koroit) and AFL Academy player Isaac Wareham (Terang Mortlake) were selected for a second season.

"We have a squad of 42 this year instead of 48 as well and that's basically list management for the future as well," Partington said.

"We have a very exciting under 16 crew coming through so we've got to be mindful of list management for next year."

Penshurst export Izaac Ewing also made the cut, while South Warrnambool talent Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, who is in the AFL Academy program and boards at Scotch College, will play for NAB League rival Oakleigh Chargers. 

The Rebels have a player camp this weekend which includes NAB League fitness testing and player analysis of the Western Bulldogs-St Kilda JLT Series game in Ballarat.
