Double trouble with West Warrnambool twins to team up in WDCA under 17 grand final

Ollie will try to wreak havoc with his off-spin while twin Tom sets up home behind the stumps.

Ollie believes Tom has been one of the Panthers' best players. 

"It's always good to have him out there for a bit of banter," he said.

As for who is the better cricketer: "I'd probably say him to be honest". 

"He probably bats better than me and is a better catch too," Ollie said.

Both boys have played division one. 

"It's good experience up there when I can get a go," Ollie said.

"It's a pretty good learning curve."

The twins are studying second-year building construction at South West TAFE. Ollie also works one day a week plumbing with Shane Gedye and Tom one day a week with builder Clayton Harrington.

Brierly-Christ Church coach Lachi Rooke said consistency had been the Bulls' trademark.

The second-year mentor said captain Campbell Love - a Vic Country representative - exemplified that trait.

"He's a quality talent and he's only 15 or 16," he said.

"He leads from the front and has been our most consistent by far all year. We're lucky to have him."

Rooke said Pratheek Josy and Luke Wilson had played roles this season but emphasised each of the Bulls' 12 players "had stood up at some point".

The Panthers and Bulls have met in two twenty20 games this season, splitting the results.

Rooke said Sunday's long-form final would be "a completely different ball game".

"They have a lot of batting depth; they have a lot of players who like to craft an innings, so it's a good challenge for our bowlers to try and dry their bowling up," he said. 

Brierly Blue and Merrivale will meet in the under 13 decider at Mack Oval on Sunday.
