The 35-year-old finished 11-under-par to tie for fourth place with Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy at Riviera Golf Course in California.
Leishman, who shot rounds of 69, 69, 67 and 68, finished three shots behind winner American J.B. Holmes.
The Warrnambool export made sure he had made the fourth round highlights reel after draining an 80-foot putt for eagle at the par-5 11th 585-yard hole.
He chipped his third shot from 27 yards off the green to nail the eagle and move to four-under with six holes to play in the final round.
Fellow Australian Adam Scott finished tied for seventh after finishing eight-under – 66, 65, 69 and 76 – after four rounds.
