Mrs Sadler, Australia's fourth-oldest person, passed away on Friday.
She moved to Melbourne when she was 97, but was a well-known identity in Terang and a familiar face at race meets throughout the state for many years.
Mrs Sadler and her late husband Lindsay lived for 50 years on a farm at Glenormiston, where they had seven children.
Mrs Sadler told The Standard in 2010 that seeing opera singer Dame Nellie Melba and champion racehorse Phar Lap were among a long list of highlights in her lifetime.
Ahead of Mrs Sadler’s 110th birthday celebrations in January, her youngest child and high-profile horse trainer John said his mother had set an example for many.
“Our mum has been an inspiration not only to her family but to so many other people at all levels,” he said.
