A VETERAN ruckman and consistent midfielder claimed Mininera and District league’s top individual prize on Sunday.

Wickliffe-Lake Bolac’s Brad Keilar and Hawkesdale-Macarthur’s Brady Purcell were named joint Lewis Medallists after standout 2016 seasons.
The pair tied on 24 votes.
The win was the third of Keilar’s decorated career in black and white, adding to his 2011 and 2013 triumphs.
But the award was Purcell’s first.
The former Panmure footballer crossed from the Warrnambool and District league club this season and played 17 games, kicking seven goals.
Lismore-Derrinallum’s Michael Lockyer was third with 20 votes.
The Ruth Brain senior under 21 award went to Hawkesdale-Macarthur’s Lachlan Glare and the Peter Gorst volunteer of the year was Penshurst stalwart Leigh Uebergang.
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac’s Jhye Kenna polled 31 votes to snare the reserves best and fairest, the D J Martin Medal.
Tatyoon’s Tim Barr (21 votes) was runner-up.
Penshurst’s Nathan Rentsch claimed the J Box Medal as under 16.5 best and fairest with 31 votes – four clear of Glenthompson-Dunkeld’s Matthew Fry.
Other awards included: Under 12 coach of the year, Keith McIlvena (Wickliffe-Lake Bolac); under 16 coach of the year, Brandon Weatherson (Glenthompson-Dunkeld); under 16 umpire of the year, Scott Maconachie (Moyston-Willaura); reserves umpire of the year, Leigh Graham (SM&W Rovers); leading goalkickers, seniors, John Vanderwaal (Moyston-Willaura) 124 goals, reserves, Mark Johnson (Hawkesdale-Macarthur) 74 goals, under 16.5, Nathan Uebergang (Penshurst) 56 goals.
Meanwhile, Wickliffe-Lake Bolac will meet Tatyoon in the senior grand final at Glenthompson after knocking out reigning premier Lismore-Derrinallum on Saturday.
The Magpies produced a 9.16 (70) to 8.7 (55) preliminary final win.
They led at every change with Tristan May their best performer.
Hawkesdale-Macarthur, which was runner-up 12 months ago, will play Penshurst in the reserves decider.
Glenthompson-Dunkeld and reigning premier Penshurst will meet in the under 16.5 grand final.
Woorndoo-Mortlake and Glenthompson-Dunkeld are poised for an A grade netball showdown. Hawkesdake-Macarthur and Glenthompson-Dunkeld (B grade), Woorndoo-Mortlake and Glenthompson-Dunkeld (C grade), Tatyoon v Penshurst (17 and under) and Woorndoo-Mortlake and Glenthompson (15 and under) will play for the other netball premierships.
