News that Woolsthorpe canine resident, Maggie the kelpie, believed to be the world’s oldest dog, had died has been relayed across the world.
Maggie was believed to be up to 30 years old but her owner Brian McLaren had no paperwork to back up the claim she was the world’s oldest dog.
The Weekly Times reported Mr McLaren as saying he found Maggie dead in her bed on Monday and it appeared she died peacefully.
